Do I need to bring my own fishing tackle?
Keeping It Crappie guide services are “full service” meaning that we provide all the tackle necessary to be successful on your guided fishing trip. Some clients prefer to bring their own fishing tackle and that is fine but talk to me first to ensure your rod/reel/tackle will be the correct tackle for the type of fishing we are doing.
How many total hours will the trip entail?
A 4-hour trip is typically a 5-6 hour client experience. An 8-hour trip is typically a 9-10 hour client experience. If a legal limit has been achieved, we will head back to the ramp at that time.
Will you clean and package our catch after the trip?
I will clean your catch at the end of the trip as part of our service at no extra charge! I will also bag your processed fish filets in quart bags for your transportation back to your destination. There is no extra charge for this service!! Importantly, fish cleaning time is not deducted from your time on the water. When booking with us you will be on the water the full amount of the time of the charter.
What should I bring on my fishing trip?
Any angler 16 or older will need proof of a current Arkansas fishing license. We recommend you bring sunscreen or wear sun-blocking clothing. Eye protection is very important on fishing trips for safety and comfort reasons so bring your sunglasses and appropriate headwear for the trip. Bring rain gear as the weather in Arkansas is unpredictable and a wet and cold trip is no fun for anyone. If you choose to enjoy an alcoholic beverage during your fishing trip you can bring beer or seltzer drinks (no hard liquor) in your own small cooler on the boat as long as you are 21 years old or older. Drink responsibly and adhere to the rules set forth in the terms and conditions you signed before departing on the charter.
