Types Of Instruction Provided:

Types of fishing equipment appropriate for the style of crappie fishing we will be doing. correct rod, reel, line, hooks, soft plastics, hair jigs, etc. The proper use and instruction of fishing electronics, (down imaging, side imaging, forward-facing sonar, etc.) Where and how to install the electronics on your boat for the type of fishing to scan and breakdown the lake using lake maps, mark waypoints, follow tracks and navigate between fishing areas. Trolling motor features used in conjunction with electronics to be most efficient on the water to quickly and efficiently eliminate water that does or does not contain fish.

Learn the following techniques:

  • Single pole live scope – spider rigging – long line trolling – planer boards – trolling crankbaits.
  • Plastic & hair jigs – live bait – cork fishing- casting to suspended fish.
  • Types of equipment to install on the boat (t-bar, rod holders, nets, scales, measuring devices, types of life jackets, lights, tackle box essentials, types of fishing rods, etc).
  • You will learn the proper use of scent attractants and which colors you should have in your tackle box for different times of the year and with different water clarity conditions. Which knots are the best to use with which bait choice is the most effective to catch crappie?
  • Learn the proper way to clean and preserve your catch for consumption or for your taxidermist.
  • We provide prospective clients of when the crappie will be biting the best when you contact us to book your trip. We will also inquire as to the purpose of the trip whether it be a fun trip, an instructional trip, or to fish for the trophy of a lifetime. We will do our best to achieve your goal!
  • During your trip you can expect to have your poles baited, baits changed, fish needed, any tangles, snags, or hang up’s taken care of for you. Full assistance and coaching to help you put them in front of the fish you’re pursuing. At the end of the trip, we will take photos and clean and bag your catch for transport home as part of our service.
